The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive Goldeyes jersey available only to those in attendance that night. The celebration will continue after the final out with the first of the club’s nine post-game fireworks shows, presented by award-winning Archangel Fireworks. The Goldeyes will once again welcome thousands of students to the ballpark for a pair of School Day games at 11:00 a.m. May 21 and June 3, creating a memorable day at the park for young fans from Winnipeg and surrounding communities. For the second straight season, the Goldeyes will also be at home on Canada Day, with a special 4:00 p.m. game July 1 as Blue Cross Park plays host to a celebration of all things Canadian. One of the most popular nights on the promotional calendar returns on June 11 with Shirt Off Our Backs Night, when one lucky fan will win a game-worn jersey off a Goldeyes player’s back after each inning. Fans will also have the chance to win major prizes throughout the season, including a Jamaican vacation July 24 and a trip to Churchill August 16. Another returning favourite, Bark in the Park, is scheduled for August 15, giving fans the opportunity to bring their dogs along for a unique evening at the ballpark. New this season is Rock ‘n Wrestling Night, including a wrestling mask giveaway and pre-game, on-field wrestling match and post-game fireworks. Plus, the Goldeyes will become the latest professional baseball team to go incognito, when they play as a yet-to-be-revealed alternate identity July 31. This team name, logo, and uniforms will be revealed April 1. The regular season wraps up on August 30 with Fan Appreciation Day, featuring a team photo giveaway and a pre-game on-field autograph session as the organization says thank you to its fans for their support throughout the season. Arnold is the second Goldeyes player transferred to a Major League organization this off-season, joining right-handed pitcher James Colyer , who joined the Washington Nationals February 2. The Hamilton, Ontario native is the 90th player in franchise history to make the jump to affiliated ball. The 24-year-old was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2023 and went on to reach the Class-AAA level with the Buffalo Bisons in 2024. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Wednesday of infielder Ray-Patrick Didder . Didder suited up for 85 games for the Goldeyes in 2025 and hit .199 with 10 home runs and 20 runs batted in while also playing strong defensively, primarily at second base. Didder was signed as an international free agent by the Atlanta Braves at the age of 18 and made his professional debut with their Dominican Summer League entry in 2013. He played seven seasons in Atlanta’s system, reaching the Class-AA level on two occasions with the Southern League’s Mississippi Braves. In the years since his professional debut with the Braves organization, the 31-year-old has spent time in the affiliated ranks of the Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, and San Diego Padres, reaching Class-AAA twice with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (MIA, 2022) and El Paso Chihuahuas (SDP, 2023). In 11 seasons in the minor leagues, Didder compiled a .235 batting average, with 133 doubles, 42 triples, 58 home runs, and 351 runs batted in. He has also swiped 241 bases. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Friday of Canadian right-handed starting pitcher Landen Bourassa , returning for his sixth season in Winnipeg. Bourassa made 15 starts in 2025 and posted a 6-6 record with a 4.20 earned run average over 85.2 innings. The Lethbridge, Alberta native has spent his entire professional career as a member of the Goldeyes after signing in 2021. In the years since, he has become a fan-favourite and has established himself as one of the most consistent starting arms in the franchise’s history. In his 74 starts for the Goldeyes, which rank fifth in team history, Bourassa has compiled a 34-24 record with a 4.13 ERA to go along with 301 strikeouts. His 442 innings pitched are also posted in the Goldeyes record books, ranking fifth all-time. He arrived in Winnipeg after spending four seasons (2018-21) with the University of San Francisco Dons. Schofield-Sam spent 2025 in the Athletics system, opening his season with the High-A Lansing Lugnuts, reaching as high as Class-AA with the Midland RockHounds. In 118 games across two levels, he hit .271 with five home runs, 21 doubles, and 55 runs batted in. The Mississauga, Ontario native was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 12 th round of the 2019 June Amateur Draft out of North Park Secondary School (Brampton, ON). He has played 566 games in his minor league career, all in the Athletics system, and has compiled a .258 average with 32 home runs, 115 doubles, and 283 RBIs. Fransen (full name pronounced Arr-EYE FRAWN-sen) spent 2025 with the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Class-AA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. In 30 appearances, he posted a 4-4 record with a 6.34 earned run average in 55.1 innings. A native of Deventer, Netherlands, Fransen spent three seasons (2019-21) with Honkbalclub Allen Weerbaar in the Dutch Major League and made his North American professional debut in 2021 with the ACL Reds, the Rookie affiliate of the Reds. He reached as high as Class-AAA, appearing for the Louisville Bats in 2024.
