Field of Dreams Foundation Announces Funding to 48 Manitoba Charities

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes, in conjunction with the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation, are pleased to announce the beneficiaries of funds raised during the 2024 baseball season.

 

During the 2024 calendar year, the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation raised and distributed more than $100,000 in support of 48 registered children’s charities (complete list of recipients below) through generous contributions from Manitobans across the province.

 

Among this year’s funding recipients is the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation, which is a charity dedicated to helping children and youth live as independently as possible. They are the fundraising entity for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children – an outpatient facility providing services and outreach therapy in support of children and youth realizing their potential and participating fully in their communities.

This generous grant from the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation is going to be life-altering for two siblings who are on Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation’s specialized equipment waitlist. Toba Centre for Children & Youth is a charitable organization that coordinates a collaborative approach to child abuse investigation and response. Toba Centre provides a space where children and families can find comfort, healing, and access to the resources they need when they’ve been impacted by abuse or witnessed violence. It is our vision that every victim of child abuse, and every child witness to violence, is heard, helped, and healed.

The Movement Centre of Manitoba is a privately funded registered charity and the only one of its kind in Manitoba that specializes in conductive education rehabilitation and therapy for children and adults living with neuromotor disorders. The Movement Centre is committed to serving Manitobans living with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, acquired brain injury, developmental delays, spina bifida and Parkinson’s disease.

Lefty Reliever Waterhouse Added to Bullpen

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the signing Wednesday of left-handed relief pitcher Quinn Waterhouse . A native of Bondurant, Iowa, Waterhouse has spent the past several seasons pitching in the Pioneer League, most recently with the Rocky Mountain Vibes. Splitting time with the Vibes and the Boise Hawks in 2025, he compiled a 1-4 record over 38 appearances (3 starts) with a 6.83 earned run average. In total over his three professional seasons, he has tallied a 5-11 record in 113 games with a 6.57 ERA. Waterhouse made his professional debut in 2023 with the Ogden Raptors after playing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (Edwardsville, Illinois) for three seasons (2020-22) and one (2023) at Lamar University (Beaumont, Texas). “We are really excited to get Quinn on board,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins. “He’s a younger guy with electric stuff. Mid 90s from the left side is impressive, and he’s worked hard to develop the rest of his arsenal. Goldeyes Re-Sign Team MVP Bramasco

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday that infielder Ramón Bramasco has re-signed with the club for the upcoming American Association season. Bramasco (pronounced bruh-MAW-sco) hit a team-best .289 in 2025, with seven home runs and 51 runs batted in. He also led the team in hits (108), walks (63), and games played (96). After his standout season, he was named the Pepsi Goldeyes Player of the Year. A native of Bellflower, California, Bramasco joined the Goldeyes in 2024 and played 77 games, hitting .286 with 12 doubles, four home runs, and 38 RBI. He was a major contributor during the team’s run to the Miles Wolff Cup Final. Before arriving in Winnipeg, the 28-year-old played two seasons with the Cancún-based Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican Baseball League. Over the 2022 and 2023 campaigns, Bramasco appeared in 78 contests for Quintana Roo, compiling a .222 batting average with four doubles, two home runs, and 22 RBIs. Prior to his professional career, Bramasco attended the University of Washington (Seattle, Washington), where he played three seasons (2019-21). He hit .275 with 21 doubles, four triples, and 46 RBIs in 111 games for the Huskies. “Getting Ramón back was a top priority for us this off-season,” said Goldeyes field boss Logan Watkins. “He’s been one of our most impactful players and leaders these past few years. Starter Bradwell Returns for 2026

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Wednesday the re-signing of right-handed starting pitcher James Bradwell . After signing with the Goldeyes July 8, Bradwell went on to start seven contests and posted a 1-3 record with a 4.61 earned run average. A native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Bradwell spent four years with the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, British Columbia) before making his professional debut in 2021 with the Québec Capitales of the Frontier League. The 27-year-old played one year with the Capitales before joining the Trois-Rivières Aigles for two seasons. In 2024, he re-joined Québec and turned in a standout campaign that saw him go undefeated (12-0) with a 2.72 ERA. “Getting James back was big priority for us this off-season,” said Goldeyes field manager Logan Watkins . “He flashed stretches of dominance last season, and if he can get back fully healthy, I expect him to be one of the better starters in the entire league this year.” Winnipeg now has five players under contract for the 2026 season. Canadian Rookie Dobie Joins Goldeyes

Hailing from Meaford, Ontario, Dobie is the first Canadian player to sign with the Goldeyes for the 2026 season. The 23-year-old will make his professional debut this spring after spending the past four seasons with the University of Dayton (Dayton, Ohio). In 171 games, he posted a .288 batting average with 22 home runs and 115 runs batted in. He also spent one season with the Waterloo Bucks of the summer collegiate Northwoods League. In 30 games with the Bucks, he hit .250 with 12 RBIs. Splitting time between first base, third base, and the outfield, Dobie is a true utility player who can move just about anywhere on the diamond. “The biggest thing we like about him is that he plays multiple positions including catcher,” said Goldeyes field boss Logan Watkins . “I can tell you he's extremely excited and eager to be a member of the Goldeyes. Suárez Added to Goldeyes' Bullpen

Suárez, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, last pitched for the Tri-City Dust Devils, the High-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. The 26-year-old spent four seasons from 2016 to 2019 in the Dominican Summer League with the DSL Giants, a rookie affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. In 2021, he was signed to the Giants organization and assigned to their Arizona Complex League affiliate. There, Suárez crossed paths and played with Goldeyes 2024 and 2025 catcher, Rob Emery . After spending one more season with the Giants, he was claimed off waivers by the Angels organization and proceeded to spend two seasons in their system, reaching as high as Double-A in 2023 with the Rocket City Trash Pandas. In his career, Suárez has compiled a 17-12 record with a 4.93 earned run average in 152 appearances. “We’re really excited to sign Willian to our team,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins . “He's a guy who has some solid affiliated experience, and from looking at video of him throwing recent bullpens, you can tell he has electric stuff. Field of Dreams Foundation Accepting Funding Requests

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation is accepting funding requests from registered children’s charities in Manitoba, beginning Monday, November 17 through Monday, December 15 for monies generated during the 2025 American Association season. Funds raised during the 2025 season are available to registered children’s charities within Manitoba. All requests must be submitted online via the application below , and should include the nature of the organization, the specific amount being requested, and the intended use of funds. Goldeyes Add Reliever Colyer

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday the signing of right-handed relief pitcher James Colyer . The native of Hayward, California made his professional debut with the Oakland Ballers of the Pioneer League in 2025, appearing in 36 games. He was 3-0 with a 3.77 earned run average while also earning two saves. He transferred to California State University, East Bay (Hayward, California) for the 2023 season after one season at Shorter University (Rome, Georgia). In 37 appearances (one start) over two college seasons, Colyer posted a 4-1 record with a 3.73 ERA. Rookie Pitcher Millikan First to Sign for 2026

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Wednesday the signing of right-handed pitcher Noah Millikan. Millikan made his professional debut in 2025 with the Oakland Ballers of the Pioneer League, where he started 14 contests. He compiled an impressive 7-1 record in what is considered a hitter-friendly circuit. He finished third-best in the league with a 2.12 earned run average, while also ranking seventh in strikeouts with 96, despite starting just 14 games. The 22-year-old played his college career with the University of Pennsylvania, while also spending three seasons playing in the California and New York collegiate summer leagues. In his four years at Penn, Millikan appeared in 29 games, starting 14. In summer collegiate action, he appeared in 23 games, starting six. He compiled a 3-3 record with a 4.47 ERA. “We’re thrilled to have Noah as our first signing for the 2026 season,” said manager Logan Watkins. “He’s coming off a great year with Oakland and has proven he’s ready to make the jump to the American Association. The biggest thing we like about him is his ability to throw strikes and have solid strikeout numbers. Goldeyes Well-Represented at Copa América

WINNIPEG, MB – Baseball Canada named their roster for the upcoming WBSC Copa América Tuesday. The tournament will take place from November 13-17 in La Chorrera, Panama. The Copa América consists of 12 nations across two groups. Canada will play in Group B with host Panama, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina, seeking to become one of the four nations to earn a berth in the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. The announced roster consists of several players from the 2025 Goldeyes’ squad. Relief pitcher and Winnipeg native Ben Onyshko along with starting pitcher Landen Bourassa headline the recent members of the team on the Canadian pitching staff, while first baseman Matthew Warkentin and outfielder Jacob Robson represent the team in the field and at the plate. The roster also features the likes of four players who suited up for Winnipeg in the past, including Evan Grills (2020), Brandon Marklund (2023), Evan Rutckyj (2017), and Nick Trogrlic-Iverson (2024). Canada’s tournament begins November 13 against host nation, Panama. Prior to the tournament, the team will host a three-day training camp in Dunedin, Florida at the Toronto Blue Jays’ Player Development Complex from November 7-10. Group A for the WBSC Copa América consists of nations already qualified for the 2027 games, and features Cuba, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua and Venezuela. Goldeyes Extend Broadcast Partnership

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes, in conjunction with Nostalgia Broadcasting Cooperative, announced Monday that they have extended their radio partnership through the 2026 American Association season. CJNU 93.7 FM will broadcast all Goldeyes pre-season, regular season, and potential post-season games with Trevor Curl handling the play-by-play duties. The upcoming campaign marks the 11th year of the partnership. Each Goldeyes radio broadcast commences with a 30-minute pre-game show and concludes with a 30-minute post-game show. Additionally, the “Inside Pitch” off-season radio show returns in 2026.
