Goldeyes Acquire Speedster Marcelo from Boise

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday the acquisition of outfielder Noah Marcelo.
Marcelo was acquired from the Boise Hawks of the Pioneer League in exchange for right-handed pitcher Zan Rose.
The 25-year-old hit .351 for the Hawks last season, with 12 home runs and 75 RBI. The Redwood City, California native led the Pioneer League with 64 stolen bases, and was caught just eight times.
After making his professional debut in 2022 for the Glacier Range Riders in the Pioneer League, Marcelo has hit .315 while compiling 18 home runs, 131 RBI, and 96 stolen bases.
Prior to his debut, Marcelo played three seasons in Collegiate Summer leagues with the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League, and the Niagara Power of the Perfect Game Collegiate League.
Marcelo will be suiting up for the Arabia Wolves of Baseball United this winter.
Zan Rose made his professional debut with the Winnipeg Goldeyes in 2025, appearing in 22 games, starting nine.
The 25-year-old righty went 4-6 in 2025 and registered a 5.66 ERA over 68.1 innings pitched.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Rose played a season at Winthrop University before playing for the Anchorage Bucs in the Alaska League in Collegiate Summer action.
