An anchor of the Winnipeg bullpen for much of his time with the club, Tasker Strobel returns for his fourth season with the Goldeyes in 2026. After first joining Winnipeg in 2022 and spending the following season elsewhere, Tasker returned in 2024 and has since become one of the club’s most experienced and trusted pitchers.
Tasker began his professional career with the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League before moving on to the Gary SouthShore RailCats. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the baseball world in 2020, he found an opportunity to keep pitching with the Westside Woolly Mammoths of the United Shore Professional Baseball League before returning to Gary the following season.
His first year in Winnipeg proved to be one of the best of his career. With fellow left-hander Travis Seabrooke already established as one of manager Rick Forney’s trusted bullpen options, Tasker gave the Goldeyes another formidable arm from the left side. He appeared in 53 games, recorded 21 saves, and earned his first American Association All-Star selection. Three years later, he returned to the All-Star Game in 2025, further establishing himself as one of the league’s most durable bullpen arms.
Tasker entered the 2026 season closing in on a pair of significant career milestones. With 289 professional strikeouts, he needed just 11 more to reach 300, while his 336 innings pitched put the 400-inning mark within sight.
Now in his fourth year with Winnipeg and third consecutive season with the club, Tasker brings experience, durability, and a long track record of handling important innings to a Goldeyes bullpen that has come to rely on his presence.
