Noah Marcelo joined the Winnipeg Goldeyes in 2026 for his first season in the American Association after spending the previous four years in the Pioneer League, including three seasons with the Boise Hawks.

A native of Redwood City, California, Noah’s baseball journey began at the Little League level. His team advanced to the West Region tournament in San Bernardino with a trip to the Little League World Series on the line, ultimately falling to the club that went on to represent the West in Williamsport and later the United States in the championship game.

The path to professional baseball was not always a smooth one. Noah spent four years at the junior-college level between Arizona Western College and Skyline College in San Bruno, California, while working through a number of setbacks along the way. Earlier in high school, he missed his entire sophomore season while recovering from surgery to repair his labrum and biceps tendon.

Noah credits former high school coach Craig Giannino with helping shape the mental side of his game. Giannino oversaw fall conditioning at Serra High School, where Noah learned the importance of pushing through adversity and maintaining the discipline needed to overcome the roadblocks that had already become part of his baseball journey.

That perseverance eventually carried into his professional career. During his time with Boise, Noah developed into one of the most dangerous baserunners in the Pioneer League. He set the league’s single-season stolen-base record in 2025, including a five-steal performance in Ogden, and finished the year with 64 stolen bases in 96 games.

The breakout represented a dramatic jump from the 23 bases he stole the previous season and helped establish Noah as a dynamic offensive threat before making the move to Winnipeg and the American Association.
