One of the longest-tenured players on the Winnipeg roster, Landen Bourassa enters his sixth season with the Goldeyes in 2026, trailing only Max Murphy in continuous service with the club.
A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Landen pitched collegiately at the University of San Francisco before making his professional debut midway through the 2021 season. He quickly became part of an important moment in franchise history, taking the mound as Winnipeg’s starting pitcher on August 3, 2021, in the Goldeyes’ first game back home after Canadian border restrictions had forced the club to play its home schedule in the United States.
Although Landen has yet to be selected to an American Association All-Star Game, his body of work has consistently placed him among the league’s most dependable starting pitchers. Across regular-season and postseason play with Winnipeg, he has logged 460.1 innings with a 4.07 ERA while becoming a fixture in the club’s rotation.
Landen has also made an impact on the other side of the world. During each of the past two offseasons, he has pitched for the Sydney Blue Sox of the Australian Baseball League. His 2025-26 campaign was particularly impressive, as he tossed three complete games, earned All-Star recognition, and was named the ABL Pitching Champion.
Over his time in Winnipeg, Landen has developed into the ace of the pitching staff and has repeatedly been trusted with the ball on Opening Day. In 2026, he once again anchors a five-man rotation looking to establish itself among the best in the American Association.
