Trey Manoakeesick - Executive Chef

Trey Manoakeesick is the Executive Chef for the Winnipeg Goldeyes and has been with the organization for ten years. A Winnipeg native, Trey bats and throws right-handed.

Trey’s favourite part of his job is being able to see the difference his food can make in someone’s day. Something fans might not realize is that his team feeds both clubs at the end of every game, and Trey believes it is just as important to feed the visiting team as it is the Goldeyes. On game days, he makes sure everyone is fed, from customers and players to the ballpark staff.

His go-to ballpark snack is a hot dog fresh off a barbecue grill, and if he had a walk-up song, it would be “Bat Out of Hell” by Meat Loaf. Trey’s favourite theme night is Bark in the Park because he loves dogs. Fittingly, the Chicago Dogs are also his favourite Goldeyes opponent — he particularly likes the simplicity of their hot dog logo and their colour scheme.

Away from the ballpark, Trey enjoys catching up on sleep to make sure he is always properly rested. He has also played the drums for almost as long as he has been working in kitchens.

For Trey, the best part of Goldeyes baseball is the atmosphere. He appreciates that fans can come to the ballpark and casually enjoy a game with friends or family while die-hard fans can embrace the experience just as enthusiastically.
