Trevor Curl - Broadcaster

Trevor Curl is the Play-By-Play Broadcaster for the Winnipeg Goldeyes and is in his third season with the organization. A native of Newcastle, Washington, Trevor bats and throws right-handed.

Trevor’s favourite part of his job is everything from the first pitch to the last out. Something fans might not realize is how little sleep can come with the job, particularly when the team has an overnight trip followed by a game the next day. On game days, Trevor fuels up with about four cups of tea — along with what he admits is probably too much honey.

His go-to ballpark snack is Dippin’ Dots, something he notes isn’t available in Canada. If he had a walk-up song, it would be “Mr. Rager” by Kid Cudi. Trevor’s favourite Goldeyes theme night is Throwback Thursday, while his favourite opponent is whichever team has the best food in the press box.

Away from the ballpark, Trevor’s favourite way to spend an off day is on a golf course. A fun fact about him is one that should come as no surprise for a play-by-play broadcaster: he says he talks too much.

For Trevor, the best part of Goldeyes baseball is the family he has found within the organization — one that has made him feel welcome from the moment he arrived and that he says will remain with him wherever his career takes him.
