Regan Katz - Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Regan Katz is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Winnipeg Goldeyes and has been with the organization for 27 years. A Winnipeg native, Regan is a switch-hitter and throws left-handed.

Regan’s favourite part of his job is seeing excited fans. Something fans might not realize is that his role is essentially a 24/7 responsibility. On game days, Regan’s job is to be “everywhere and anywhere,” helping ensure everything around the organization runs smoothly.

His go-to ballpark snack is chicken fingers, although he admits to sneaking in some poutine whenever he can. If he had a walk-up song, it would be “Sandstorm” by Darude. Regan’s favourite Goldeyes theme night is Fan Appreciation Day, while the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are his favourite opponent.

Away from the ballpark — when he can find an “off day” — Regan enjoys boating with his kids. He also holds both a pilot’s licence and a semi-truck licence.

For Regan, the best part of Goldeyes baseball can be summed up in one word: winning.
