Andrew Collier - General Manager

Andrew Collier is the General Manager of the Winnipeg Goldeyes and has been with the organization since 1994. A Winnipeg native, Andrew bats and throws right-handed.

Andrew’s favourite part of his job is meeting the new players each year and reconnecting with longtime fans at the start of every season. Fans might not realize that working in baseball is a year-round job. Long before the first pitch is thrown, Andrew is involved in everything from planning promotions and selling sponsorships to hiring staff and arranging housing for players.

On game days, one of Andrew’s regular duties is watching the weather radar every five minutes throughout the day. His go-to ballpark snack is a Jumbo Diamond Dog with mustard only. If he had a walk-up song, he would choose either “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day or “We Are Young” by fun.

Away from the ballpark, Andrew’s favourite way to spend an off day is with his family, with golfing a close second. A fun fact about him is that he has jumped out of a perfectly good airplane — twice.

Andrew’s favourite Goldeyes theme night is Shirt Off Our Backs Night, while Fargo-Moorhead is his favourite opponent. For Andrew, the best part of Goldeyes baseball is playoff games, especially the atmosphere of a full house for postseason baseball.
