Ed Doiron - Manager of Group Sales & Game Presentation

Ed Doiron is the Manager of Group Sales & Game Presentation for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. A Winnipeg native, Ed has been part of the organization for nearly ten years on game days and five years in the office. He bats and throws right-handed.

Ed’s favourite part of his job is executing the pregame show so everything runs precisely on schedule for first pitch. Fans may not realize just how much multitasking is involved in his role on game days. As Ed puts it, he spends much of the day running around “like a chicken with my head cut off.”

His go-to ballpark snack is the Goldette Chicken Wrap, although he notes it has not been offered since 2022. If he had a walk-up song, it would be “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. Ed’s favourite Goldeyes theme nights are Christmas in July and Fan Appreciation Day, while Fargo-Moorhead is, emphatically, his favourite opponent.

Away from the ballpark, Ed enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and boating. He also has a pet rabbit named Nala.

For Ed, the best part of Goldeyes baseball is the in-game experience.
