Kansas City T-Bones @ Winnipeg Goldeyes
Game Score: Winnipeg 5, Kansas City 4

The Winnipeg Goldeyes evened their record at 1-1 on Friday night, defeating the Kansas City T-Bones 5-4 in dramatic fashion before 5,216 at Canwest Park.

Max Poulin a drilled a 1-2 offering from Brady Martinez with none out deep to right for the walk-off win. Poulin finished the night 3-3 with two runs scored and an equal number driven in.

Winnipeg opened the scoring off Kenny Durost in the first. Fehlandt Lentini drew a lead-off walk and, with two out, scored on a Kevin West double. Kansas City tied it and took the lead in the third. Aharon Eggleston doubled to lead it off and scored on a Geoff McCallum flare to left. Antoin Gray fielded it in left and threw a strike to nail McCallum at second, but Trino Aguilar bobbled the throw and McCallum was safe. He took third shortly after on a wild pitch and scored on a Brad Correll ground out.

The visitors added to their lead in the third. Kevin Mahar reached on a Brent Metheny error, stole second and scored on a Nick Jaros single. But the Goldeyes came right back. Gray drew a lead-off walk, moved up on a Brady Everett ground out and scored on a Poulin single. Lentini followed with a triple, moving him into second all-time in franchise history with 21, to score Poulin and then scored himself on an Aguilar single to make it 4-3.

Things stayed until the ninth as both bullpens tossed shutout baseball. With closer Wayne Foltin in and one out, Neb Brown hit a ball to left that Gray booted, allowing Brown to reach second. He scored two batters later to tie it on an Eggleston single to left. But it didn't stay tied for long as Poulin sent the crowd home happy.
