move on to Major League organizations. Of those players, a half-dozen
have made it all the way to the big leagues, all of whom are
profiled below.
Mike Cather (1995)
The first Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, pitcher Mike
Cather made his big league debut on July 13, 1997 with
the Atlanta Braves. MORE
Jeff Zimmerman (1997)
The second Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, pitcher
Jeff Zimmerman made his big league debut on April 13, 1999
with

Jeff Sparks (1997-98)
The third Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, pitcher Jeff
Sparks made his big league debut in September 12, 1999

George Sherrill (2002-03)
The fourth Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, pitcher
George Sherrill made his big league debut on July 16, 2004
with the

Bobby Madritsch (2002)
The fifth Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, pitcher Bobby
Madritsch made his big league debut on July 21, 2004 with

Brian Myrow (1999-2001)
The sixth Goldeyes alumnus to reach the Majors, infielder
Brian Myrow made his big league debut on September 6, 2005
with the
Los Angeles Dodgers. MORE
Brian Duva (1995-2000)
When talking about distinguished alumni, it would be remiss
to do so without talking about Brian Duva. The most popular
player
in Goldeyes history, he retired following the 2000 season
the holder of one single-game, two single-season and three
career
league records. On a franchise level, he holds three single-season

Bob Kipper (1995-2000)
The first Goldeyes coach to reach the Majors, Bob actually
returned to the big leagues when he was named the bullpen
coach for
the Boston Red Sox on December 12, 2001. MORE
